This was a book that really hits the spot!! Informative, full of humour and full of easy to follow practices to help you through each stage of the female journey that is peri-menopause/menopause! The author has a brilliant way of writing that really speaks to you and talks in a way that is easy to understand and takes you through various stages and symptoms offering practical advice - and fun advice too! - that lets you take control and do what is right for you! She gives you the facts and her opinion but offers a variety of options for you to look into and I think it's going to be one of those books that you just keep going back to at various times - more often than not just to feel that you're not alone in going through some of the madness of these times, but there is a light at the end of the tunnel and books like this are a great way of supporting and keeping you on the straight and narrow during a rollercoaster ride of emotions!! It's thoughtfully written, doesn't preach and offers you a hug in book form which is just what I needed and I think every woman of a certain age needs a copy of this book in their life!

Disclaimer! I do know Kate, but only met her through her writing and work which I love. Kate is a terrific example of how to live a conscious and confident life as we navigate peri-menopause and menopause. Her book has very simple takeaways and is extremely well structured. I read a preview copy electronically, but got my own copy so I could had tabs to the pages which resonated with me most, and I keep finding myself going back to. It's hard to find books about menopause that are based more on our thoughts and feelings, the understanding of which is paramount to an enriching transition. It's extremely reassuring and allows you stop, reflect, retreat when you need to and also connect with others if you want to.

I’m not exactly sure about the Artist’s Way of menopause, but some good advice for what to expect, and how to take care of yourself. I did not know the fat on your feet thins out at menopause.
